Our new Global Executive Director Maria Baron will begin her work in Washington, D.C. in September, with the aim of expanding the efforts of Directorio Legislativo Foundation and its partner in the United States, Directorio Legislativo for the Americas.

The institutional change is a step forward for our organization based in Argentina and our partner in Miami, which will expand and strengthen our projects and services in Latin America with its new branch in Washington, D.C.

Baron has consolidated her presence in the international scene as a member of advisory committees for Open Government Partnership (OGP) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Once in Washington, she will take part in the Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowship, which brings together democracy activists, scholars and journalists to push the boundaries in strengthening democratic practices with the aim of enriching their work with new perspectives.

Our headquarters in Argentina, about to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2018, will continue working under the leadership of Noel Alonso Murray as Executive Director. The current Director of Transparency, Agustina De Luca, will debut as Managing Director, carrying out different projects of political analysis, consensus building and transparency.
